It was time.

Ribs and friends to remember.

We had our 1st non-family members visit from our home state last week. We had a blast with them. We pretty much hung around the house the whole time. We stayed up late and enjoyed conversation and company. We played with my camera taking pictures and cooking yummy dinners. I was at Costco before they came and Miss D begged me to buy ribs. So we enjoyed those after cooking them ALL day. I went out and hit a few garage sales one morning... but couldn't get K up to join me. They were pretty much stuck on west coast time. No biggy... all in all we had a great time. It went by WAY to fast. They had a hairy travel day getting out here with their flight delayed and missing their connection. But they made it here the same day they were suppose to with out having to stay the night in the airport waiting for an early morning flight. Thank YOU JESUS!!

We miss them already but are looking forward to another visitor (my MIL) in December for a week. Good times.

I'm looking forward to getting my Christmas decor out. I can't believe that it is November already. Baby D is doing so well. He is sleeping 14 hours at night. I wake him up to feed him before we head to bed but then he sleeps right on through the night and has been waking around 8am ish. Sometimes he will wake up and talk for a while and then fall back asleep until 10am. He has such BIG legs and is laughing and loving toys right now. The other night I was changing his diaper and he was playing with a toy and he dropped it. He cried like it was the end of the world. I picked up the toy and gave it back to him and he quit crying. Miss D wasn't into toys like he is. He plays with them like he wants to destroy them. Such a boy. We are really enjoying him. He is SUCH a sweet boy. He is so easy to make smile too. He is such a blessing.

Thanks for coming to visit Stewies... we miss you already!

Heater problem solved by Mr. Handy himself

After we moved in and Mr. D fired up the heater to make sure it worked... we knew we weren't going to need the heater for a while but he wanted to make sure that when we did it wouldn't need any fixing. Well as he fired it up he heard a thunk like something was lodged in the fan. He turned it off noting that he would need to take a look at that sometime soon. Fast forward 2 months and we need to get the heat turned on. It was down to a cool 67 in the house and we needed to kick it up a few degrees. Remembering that he needed to take apart the heater to see what the problem was he headed up to the attic. I fetched him the tools that he called out to me that he needed from the garage and he was at work. A few moments go by as I hear him upstairs then I hear a chuckle. He calls to me that he has found the problem. As you will see below...

Problem solved.
