Trip update

Well we are home... I had a long flight back...
I don't know what I was thinking when I booked my flight through Newark on the way home. Hello... that is a coast to coast flight. Plus Newark apparently is a very busy airport. We boarded the airplane and then the pilot lets us know that we are 35th in line for take off... that ended up being 90 minutes of sitting before even taking off. Add that to my already long day... plus then I had a 6 hour flight home.

We had a great trip all in all... it was busy. There was alot of driving around dropping off resumes.. Mr. D would go in and try and meet with someone and I would stay in the car and pray.

We met so many new people this trip. We had a "cookout" (southern for bbq)... and enjoyed sitting outside until it was dark...hello people this is the end of April. Here at home it was cold and rainy. But where we were it was 85 everyday. I even let Mr. D put the top down after a long day of looking at houses and searching for jobs. I wasn't to into the convertible in the morning... I needed my hair to last most of the day. But Sunday after looking at houses we put the top down and headed to Cracker Barrel for some sweet tea and dinner.

I had a doctor appt today... everything still looks great. My fluid level is at the high end of normal.. Baby D has a swimming pool to enjoy. He is about 4 pounds now.. growing great. His heartbeat today was 144. He is still head up and was so wiggly. I go back in 2 weeks. No ultrasound at my next appt.. but I get to have one in a month. I will be at the 35 week point by then. That will be the time that baby Hazel was born... my doctor is so sensitive about that and said that I can come in twice a week after that. Not sure if I will need to... I guess I will see when I get to that point. He even said that he would induce me as soon as 36 weeks... I think that is still a little early for him but I'm thinking maybe 37-38 weeks. From the ultrasound today his estimated date of deliver is June 27th..... I know a special someone who would LOVE that. We will have to see.

Glad to back with my girl... I sure missed her.

If you are the praying type...

I have a friend that has a hubby and 2 young children. They are 83 days away from moving to be missionaries in Indonesia. Check out their website here. I have known her 3 years during our days at BSF. Her son and Miss D are flirty and so cute with each other... I know Miss D is going to miss seeing him at BSF every week. If you are on facebook they have a group called Beck's Indonesian Adventures... They will have internet access there so I'm excited to stay updated with their travels and adventures bringing people into the Kingdom Of God.

Imagine having to put your life into 8 of these totes...
...WHAT WOULD YOU PACK?

What a cool call they have on their life...
Pray they can find renter's for their house.
Pray that they can spend the last days they have here in the US making the most of their time.
Pray that God makes their path straight and blesses them all the days of their life.
Pray that the transition goes effortlessly for their little kiddos.
Pray for joy and peace during the transition into their new life.
Pray that they pack PERFECTLY for the next few years until they are able to come back to the US for a visit.

French Braid afterparty

The last two pics are Miss D looking "fierce". I watch the show America's Next Top Model.. I know... I know not the most wholesome show. I dvr it and watch it alone where nobody can make fun of me.. I know there are some of you out there who like this show too! You will be able to appreciate that I have taught Miss D how to be fierce in her photos and this is what she gives me. It is really cute.

She struggled through a french braid today. I didn't make it all the way down her head so the back of her head has straight hair.. she whimpered through the whole braiding process. He hair was slightly wet and I didn't use conditioner which gave me a nice grip on her hair to get it nice and tight. By the end of the day it still looked like she had stuck her finger in a light socket with all the hair that had made it's way out of the braid.. you know the super fine hair that gets all wispy and sits in like an aura around her head. We took the braid out before bed and got these shots.

We had dinner at Costco tonight and Miss D polished off her very own polish dog.. bun and all. She has surprised me with her appetite lately. I hope that she starts to grow vertically soon... her little thighs are getting chubby again. YUM. She went through a puking season and lost some weight..but she is starting to thicken up again.

We have also started to talk to her about the fact that Mr. D and I will be leaving next week to the east coast. Mr. D leaves on Tuesday and I leave on Thursday. I have been talking to her about all the places that she will be staying. She is getting so excited... I hope that she does ok. We went back east last January for 9 days and it was really hard. But here we are almost 1.5 years later and going back again. We will be hitting the pavement in search of a job for Mr. D and looking at houses. We will be staying with the friends that we met at the church that we visited when we were there last. Amazing how God knit that friendship together in only a few days. We are excited about getting back there to see if God has left the door open for us. We are praying for continued direction on if we are to be moving forward with our move. The whole last year and a half we have been praying that God would remove this direction in our life if it wasn't from Hin. It hasn't happened. We sold our house. We are still excited to see what God has for us over there. We feel like God is calling us but we aren't sure for what. It may be for a career change like we have "planned". But God is so cool at working with our "plans" and then shaping them and us into where He wants us. We don't know what the future holds for us.. only that God is leading us and we are following close. We have no strings attached anymore and are free to move and be where He wants us. (not that our family and friends aren't strings... we will miss them terribly) I look at it like..... there is eternity... If you are saved then we will be hanging out in Heaven together forever....If you arn't then we need to talk because that is a whole other conversation)We can't wait to see what He does on this trip. The last trip we took rocked our spiritual world and we hope and pray that we get to have another trip like that. That trip has sustained us for such a long time. When we left there last time we didn't know how long it would be until we were back. We had "expectations" of how we thought it would play out in our mind. I thought that we would have been back there by the end of last summer. God had other plans in mind. So here we are such a while later and headed back.

I need to get some shorts or capris I think.. IT IS ACTUALLY WARM THERE.

Baby D update

We got to see baby this morning... in 3-D! It was so cool. I have alot of fluid for him to float around in.. which made getting a clear face shot of him in 3-D really easy. He was posed with his hand right up by his face. He has Miss D's little nose and some really luscious lips. Super cute. They also measured my cervix today.. which I have never experienced before. It was invasive but a productive test. My cervix was measuring at a 5. Ideally they want it to be 3.5 to 4. So mine is long and there are no sign that it is opening at all. I also had my glucose test today.. and I'm thankful that they WON'T be calling me tomorrow with any abnormal results (Thank You Jesus)!  Thank you Lord for keeping my body in harmony as we approach countdown to baby. He was super active during the appointment and she was able to see everything that she needed to measure and all was normal! I got the go ahead for my trip back to the East Coast and I will go back to the doctor when I get back. My appointments are getting closer together... which means I'm getting to the end of the pregnancy... which means we are closer to meeting our son! All is good and I give God all the praise for His strength!

A bad Day

Miss D has..........

Fell in the toilet
Fallen over and hit the back of her head on a table
Slipped on some papers on the ground
Cried over the silliest things
Been hungry all day
Smashed her finger in the toy chest
Fell off the couch
Woke up from her nap early

It has been a day for her...she keeps telling me "I'm having a hard day"....
I've sent her to her room once also today until she can be happy... After recapping her day I would be sad too!

Your 13...

Head on over to therapeuticramblingsofamom.blogspot.com
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
So, here's the deal... I want to know, what's your 13? What's your story about God's glory? When have you seen God's hand working in your life? What's your testimony? I want to hear your stories. I want to know how God has blessed you. I want God's light to be shining through.
I'm working on mine....
