October 15th

I know of many friends that have a chance to join in this day to remember our babies that only were with us for to short of time.

If you would like to leave a comment and share about your child (ren) I would like to give you a place to share and remember.

I will start...

Today I remember my baby Hazel Hope who was born on May 30th, 2007. She was 35 weeks old but only was able to enjoy the sound of my voice and never see my face. I enjoyed feeling her movement and dreaming of her little life outside my womb. I didn't think that life would be so wonderful for her. It is a life that I could have never given her here on Earth. A life without sorrow, pain or anger. A life that is shared with our Lord in Heaven. How awesome is that. ? I have to be honest and say those weren't my thoughts on the day that she was born.. or even shortly after that. But it wasn't to many days later when God revealed Romans 8:28 to me.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

What Satan intended as harm.. God would use to bring glory to His Kingdom. And me and my hubby are walking testimonies of that truth. I will be in prayer today for all of you out there who have lost children from this Earth.. but know for sure that you will one day be reunited with them if you have a relationship with the One True God and like the Bible says in

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

and God has also said for those who mourn these beautiful promises...

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

to bestow on them a crown of beauty

instead of ashes, the oil of gladness

instead of mourning, and a garment of praise

instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,

a planting of the LORD

for the display of his splendor.

Seattle Aquarium

We took a trip to an aquarium today.... her first trip to any sort of place that has animals or fish. I know I haven't taken my daughter to the Zoo.. judge me if you want. I will one of these days. So while visiting family we had an outing today. I'm enjoying all of the amenities. Wireless laptop on my lap with lightning speed internet access. My daughter sleeping upstairs after a bubble bath and I'm enjoying a nice glass of wine. I downloaded all the lectures that I've been saving in my email so that I could burn them to a cd. Good time huh. I'm also going to post pictures too...wow that was fast. Mr. D is hunting for Bambi with his brother. Miss D is also enjoying their dogs. We have been tossing around the idea of getting a doggy... if we do Miss D is going to name "Gracher"... not sure where that came from.... maybe "Gracker.." not sure of the spelling. But if you ask her what she will name her doggy she will say that name. I don't know if I have shared the fun little detail that Miss D and I are learning Chinese. We can count to 10 and we know our colors and how to say milk, water and juice. We also know sun, moon, rain and spider. Also how to say "what is your name" and "my name is". We are having fun with it. I have been tossing the idea around of Homeschooling and so instead of being intimidated of it I thought we would just learn together. I don't know Chinese and neither does she. We can learn together right. Kids have such an amazing ability to learn... they are just like sponges. It's so fun to see her learn. I'm off to surf the internet at lightning speed.

Come in for your checkup Miss Mommy

Miss D and I have been doing some serious playing lately... she is into playing doctor and checkup. Thanks to my neighbors daughter for teaching her how to play... and when I say thanks I need you to layer it with a sarcastic tone.... because I can't even count how many check up's that I've had over the last few weeks. A waiting room is involved and a ringing bell to let me know that it is my turn to come in to see the doctor. Then the bag of tools (which are silverware from her kitchen) are deployed and the check up is in full swing. Mr. D gave her some great ideas on how to use her "tools". The ladle is for checking knee caps and elbows. The triangle pie utensil is for checking behind the ears (it is silver and you can really use it to look behind the ears..!), the forks are for tapping teeth and the knifes are for taking blood....and the spatula is for listening to my heart. When I walk into her room for my check up she asks me "what seems to be the problem?". It really is cute.. I just had share. Next I will share about getting haircuts.. which are another one of her favorites to play.

Today in pictures

Gotta start the morning out right. I get the second half of this french press of coffee... Mr. D takes a to go mug on his way to work. It is perfect because there is just enough for a cup of coffee for me. And did you see what I got at Walmart!!! Chocolate Mint Truffle.. um....yummy!
Miss D was upset that I wouldn't let her have 3 bowls of Marshmellow Maties...I cut her off at 2 bowl. Which is ok with me... but 3 bowls come'on girl. That is just to much!
Next I made 10 of these cute little wreaths for an open house event here in town. I also made some really cute 9" globes covered in carns that they are floating in a huge vases up at the alter... they have a wedding business and are trying to get bookings. Times are hard! I pray that they have a great turn out and maybe out of the deal I will get some wedding orders.!.

Then after Miss D was down for her nap I headed out to the garden to see if there was anything left. I had a huge harvest! My yellow and black tomatoes had finally ripened and I had a dinosaur sized zuck out there... note that those are 6" tiles on the back splash... Miss D is still sleeping (going on 3.5 hours) and I've had time to clean out a few cabinets and drawers in my kitchen, sweep and mop the floor.. put away some laundry... visit the neighbors. Whewwww...
Then I got treated to an early arrival home of Mr. D. who right now is sleeping on the couch while getting ready to watch "Trackside Live". Talladega is on this weekend people! Tune in Sunday.

My friend that I have missed... A Tribute.

Rain
The rain is here
I have to say
I've missed you so
I hope you stay.
You smell so good
You sound so nice
You say fall is here, so
burn some spice.
Rain, Rain and more Rain
Other may say...go away!
I welcome you in all your wetness
Raincoats and all we still will play.
I love your clouds
I love your drops
Some are grey and
Some go plop.
A day of gazing at you
while snuggled in and toasty warm.
Gathered around some candles
I'm longing for a really good storm.
You water the Earth
You settle the dust
With Rain and Mist and Big Grey Clouds
You are just a MUST!

2 in a row!

I just gotta post about today's race at DOVER... my hubby and I are huge Biffle fans and he won a great race today! 2 in a row! We had friends over to watch the race... (I think they may be the ONLY friends that we have that like to watch NASCAR) We ate pizza and enjoyed a great race today. There was a little Kasey Kahne bashing.... he is just so little.. but K you took it well! We all love Carl Edwards too and he came in 3rd! A 1,2,3 finish for Rousch Racing! Not like any of you care... you may say "what is so fun about watching cars go around in a circle?".. I said that at one point too, but here I am a huge Nascar fan and can't wait to settle in for an afternoon of racing. Well I just had to share.. if you have DirecTV and want to watch a great show about NASCAR... tune in on Monday nights for a show called "This Week In Nascar" (aka TWIN) it is on at 9pm on the speed channel (607).

Playing catch up

I will post my zucchini bread recipe... it is so YUMMY! I should be able to do it from memory I have made it so many times. I even like to put some icing on it too.. that makes it into a dessert (kinda). I just laid Miss D down upstairs on my friend Jodi's bed.. Jodi is out with her hubby doing some stuff. I am watching her 2 little girls. Among naps, swinging and food...with a little painting we are having a good time. They have dsl over here and I'm in Internet heaven. I am watching the girls I promise.. thankfully the computer is right here in the nook and I can keep eyes in all directions.. plus not miss phone calls from Jodi when she calls to check in. The 1 year old is crawling and climbing and the 3 year old is outside playing on the swing set... while Miss D is upstairs taking her nap. I'm so glad that Miss D is comfortable enough to go to sleep here... if not it would make the day much more of a trial. She was fighting a stuffy nose yesterday. But she pushed through with prayer and is feeling MUCH better today. We are watching Rebecca Of Sunnybrook Farm... IN COLOR! We have this movie at home but in b&w. Is anyone out there looking forward to The Office premiere next week as much as I am... not counting you Mrs. Noodles. Last night was the season finale from last year. We enjoyed some good laughs last night watching that show. If you aren't a fan... check out the show. Maybe rent the 1st seasons so that you can get caught up and understand what is happening with Pam and Jim and so on... Great Show I must say GREAT SHOW. I'm also wondering when Lost is going to start. Last year it didn't start till way late. That is another great show.. but hard to follow if you just start watching now... catch up with the last few seasons. BSF also started and we are onl lesson 2 of the life of Moses. So far it is really interesting. I also started up from last year a study that I'm in with 3 ladies and 1 new one. We are reading the book by Bill Johnson...Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind. We are through the chapter one and we only disscussed two pages from it yesterday for 2 hours! So far it is great and challenging! Hmmmmm.... what else to talk about? Better go play with the little tots...

Slip of the Tongue or Slip of the Truth?!?!

I watched the whole clip to see if this was taken out of context.. and I have to say that it is a grey area. It is hard to tell if he was talking about "His Muslim faith"...or if he was talking about John Mcain's camp talking about possible Muslim ties to his "Christian" faith. He is alot like Hilary in being hard to read in his real emotion and facial expressions... I guess it is up to the individual on if he slipped and told the actual truth or not.

ELECTION 2008 Obama slips on TV: 'My Muslim faith'Presidential candidate drops line in interview discussing his belief

Slip of the tongue or momentary confusion? In a television interview today discussing his religion, Sen. Barack Obama stated, "My Muslim faith." Obama, speaking to ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "This Week," was talking about what he described as "smears" that were claiming he was a Muslim when he maintains he is a practicing Christian. "Let's not play games," Obama stated. "What I was suggesting – you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you're absolutely right that that has not come." Stephanopoulos immediately interrupted Obama, stating, "Christian faith." "My Christian faith," Obama quickly said. "Well, what I'm saying is that he (McCain) hasn't suggested that I'm a Muslim. And I think that his campaign's upper echelons have not, either. What I think is fair to say is that, coming out of the Republican camp, there have been efforts to suggest that perhaps I'm not who I say I am when it comes to my faith – something which I find deeply offensive, and that has been going on for a pretty long time."
The statements came amid an exchange in which Obama accused Republicans of spreading "lies" that he is a Muslim. McCain, though, has strongly condemned such accusations. "These guys love to throw a rock and hide their hand," Obama said. But Stephanopoulos corrected the Illinois senator, stating, "The McCain campaign has never suggested you have Muslim connections."Obama replied: "I don't think that when you look at what is being promulgated on Fox News, let's say, and Republican commentators who are closely allied to these folks.""But John McCain said that's wrong," Stephanopoulos shot back.Obama's momentary slip was immediately picked up by scores of Internet blogs.Obama 'quite religious in Islam'Obama has long denied he was ever a Muslim. His campaign site states: "Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian."
But as WND reported, public records in Indonesia listed Obama as a Muslim during his early years, and a number of childhood friends claimed to the media Obama was once a mosque-attending Muslim.Obama's campaign several times has wavered in response to reporters queries regarding the senator's childhood faith.Commenting on a recent Los Angeles Times report quoting a childhood friend stating Obama prayed in a mosque – something the presidential candidate said he never did – Obama's campaign released a statement explaining the senator "has never been a practicing Muslim."Widely distributed reports have noted that in January 1968, Obama was registered as a Muslim at Jakarta's Roman Catholic Franciscus Assisi Primary School under the name Barry Soetoro. He was listed as an Indonesian citizen whose stepfather, listed on school documents as "L Soetoro Ma," worked for the topography department of the Indonesian Army.Catholic schools in Indonesia routinely accept non-Catholic students but exempt them from studying religion. Obama's school documents, though, wrongly list him as being Indonesian. After attending the Assisi Primary School, Obama was enrolled – also as a Muslim, according to documents – in the Besuki Primary School, a public school in Jakarta. The Loatze blog, run by an American expatriate in Southeast Asia who visited the Besuki school, noted: "All Indonesian students are required to study religion at school, and a young 'Barry Soetoro,' being a Muslim, would have been required to study Islam daily in school. He would have been taught to read and write Arabic, to recite his prayers properly, to read and recite from the Quran and to study the laws of Islam."Indeed, in Obama's autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," he acknowledged studying the Quran and describes the public school as "a Muslim school.""In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Quranic studies," wrote Obama. The Indonesian media have been flooded with accounts of Obama's childhood Islamic studies, some describing him as a religious Muslim.Speaking to the country's Kaltim Post, Tine Hahiyary, who was principal of Obama's school while he was enrolled there, said she recalls he studied the Quran in Arabic."At that time, I was not Barry's teacher, but he is still in my memory" claimed Tine, who is 80 years old.The Kaltim Post said Obama's teacher, named Hendri, died."I remember that he studied 'mengaji (recitation of the Quran)," Tine said, according to an English translation by Loatze.Mengaji, or the act of reading the Quran with its correct Arabic punctuation, is usually taught to more religious pupils and is not known as a secular study. Also, Loatze documented the Indonesian daily Banjarmasin Post interviewed Rony Amir, an Obama classmate and Muslim, who described Obama as "previously quite religious in Islam.""We previously often asked him to the prayer room close to the house. If he was wearing a sarong (waist fabric worn for religious or casual occasions) he looked funny," Amir said. The Los Angeles Times, which sent a reporter to Jakarta, quoted Zulfin Adi, who identified himself as among Obama's closest childhood friends, stating the presidential candidate prayed in a mosque, something Obama's campaign claimed he never did."We prayed, but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque. But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played," said Adi.Friday prayersAside from a new website to fight purported smears, Obama's official campaign site has a page titled "Obama has never been a Muslim, and is a committed Christian." The page states, "Obama never prayed in a mosque. He has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ."But the campaign changed its tune when it issued a "practicing Muslim" clarification to the Los Angeles Times. An article in March by the Chicago Tribune apparently disputes Adi's statements to the L.A. paper. The Tribune caught up with Obama's declared childhood friend, who now describes himself as only knowing Obama for a few months in 1970 when his family moved to the neighborhood. Adi said he was unsure about his recollections of Obama. But the Tribune found Obama did attend mosque."Interviews with dozens of former classmates, teachers, neighbors and friends show that Obama was not a regular practicing Muslim when he was in Indonesia," states the Tribune article. It quotes the presidential candidate's former neighbors and third-grade teacher recalling Obama "occasionally followed his stepfather to the mosque for Friday prayers."Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum, notes the Tribune article – cited by liberal blogs as refuting claims Obama is Muslim – actually implies Obama was an irregularly practicing Muslim and twice confirms Obama attended mosque services. In a free-ranging interview with the New York Times, Obama described the Muslim call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset."The Times' Nicholos Kristof wrote Obama recited, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent," the opening lines of the Muslim call to prayer. The first few lines of the call to prayer state:Allah is Supreme!Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme! I witness that there is no god but AllahI witness that there is no god but AllahI witness that Muhammad is his prophet ...Some attention also has been paid to Obama's paternal side of the family, including his father and his brother, Roy.Writing in a chapter of his book describing his 1992 wedding, the presidential candidate stated: "The person who made me proudest of all was Roy. Actually, now we call him Abongo, his Luo name, for two years ago he decided to reassert his African heritage. He converted to Islam and has sworn off pork and tobacco and alcohol."Still, Obama says he was raised by his Christian mother and repeatedly has labeled as "smears" several reports attempting to paint him as a Muslim."Let's make clear what the facts are: I am a Christian. I have been sworn in with a Bible. I pledge allegiance [to the American flag] and lead the Pledge of Allegiance sometimes in the United States Senate when I'm presiding," he told the Times of London earlier this year.

Random thoughts on the D's

I suppose that I have been on a bit of a blog vacation lately. I really have been in a writing block and really haven't had much to say. I'm sure some of you readers that check my blog are like...... HELLO what is happening in life outside the city limits... or maybe you have totally written me off. Well I'm still here. Putt puttin' through life. Our house came off the market and we are contemplating a forsalebyowner.com listing. Perhaps lowering our price also. Mr. D had his men's group tonight so Miss D is catching a video right now waiting for him to get home. What better time to blog right. I guess this is turning out to be longer than I thought. My garden is going great. It could really use some warm weather so that my tomatoes will ripen and my corn will get done! I had my first crop harvest of beans tonight. I'm loving my hair cut... it is so easy and every time I catch a glimpse in the mirror I'm so glad that I cut it off. Mr. D is turning 30 in a few weeks! Crazy! We will also celebrate our 7th anniversary in September. I was trying to remember what we have done each year for that day and my brain stopped working at the 2nd anniversary. We usually go out to our favorite restaurant. Ruth's Chris Steak House. We won't be going there this year. We lack the dinero! No gots a the $ for that. We use to say Happy Annisteaksary... but this past week we have been joking about a Happy GoldenArch'sversary. (wow spellcheck didn't like those words!) If you know us you will know that is our humor..a little wierd... but some of you may think... what weirdos. But we are perfect for each other and are so thankful for each other everyday. Thanks for hanging in with me on my blog vacation and I'm sure soon that I will have things to talk about! BSF is starting soon and I'm so excited. Last year I invited a best friend to join me and we got put in the same group... not usually the norm. And we are in the same group this year AGAIN! Thanks God for that special gift.

Weekend Wedding

The flowers turned out great. The transport however left much to be desired. I had rigged up what Mr. D and I thought would work like a charm. But as I was pulling out of the driveway I was thinking otherwise. Remember these florals had lilies in them... they don't take to falling over very well. They get bruised and battered. I made it to the bottom of our road. I had to pull off the road to readjust the florals that were teetering in the back of my car. I had put a waterproof table cloth and a towel underneath the arrangements for the ride. Good thing because I needed them for propping after I took out the florals and put them in another way. But they were very front heavy and wanted to fall forward. So I rigged up a way for them to each be laying on their "back" against the sides of the back of the car..It worked! But I'm sure the people that were following me around the corners didn't like me so much. I took them so slow because depending on the right or left turn on or the other could fall against the other one. Did that make any sense? I dropped Miss D off at my parents house for a nap (that never happened) and headed ever so carefully over to the church. I brought them in and set them up and the one on the left kept wanting to fall forward. Not something that you want to happen during a wedding. So I went on the hunt for a small couple rocks that I could put in the back of the arrangement and weigh down the back of the container... so that it wouldn't fall forward. I couldn't find one anywhere! I headed back to see my cousin the beautiful BRIDE and back in the nursery of the church is where my cousin's husband found a rock for me. It was a bit big.. but designed perfect because it was slightly heart shaped so I could rest it half way in the container and half way on the table. It worked like a charm. They stayed in place for the wedding and then were moved downstairs for the reception. I didn't move them and only a few people even knew that I had made them. I'm not sure who moved them downstairs... but they didn't take note of the rock . Once they were downstairs and set on the pedestals that they were to sit on.... lefty kept falling forward. So I sat in my chair with a "tail light guarantee" that once the tail lights are gone the guarantee is up... my cousin's husband (the rock hound) must have went back upstairs to get the rock to hold the container from falling forward... but a man had to stand there and hold it until he got back. The beauty in this story is that the bride and groom will never know that any of this happened because her people rose to the occasion to make her day perfect... as it was I'm sure.!

This week flew by. Monday was the only day that we were home all day.. other than Friday too. Mr. D cam e home form being out of town again all week. Miss D and I stayed very busy. We had a bridal shower on Tuesday. A bbq birthday on Wednesday. We went to pick up flowers and do lunch with some fabulous family. Then Mr. D was home and we played in the "pool" and took naps. We had a great relaxing day yesterday. Today we are getting ready to go to a wedding. I did some flowers for the wedding last night. Two alter arrangements. They turned out really nice. Blues with a hint of orange. I put some cream lilies in there to break up the color a little. I will post pics once I get them down to the church. That transport should be interesting. I had to measure the back of my Jeep so that I could make sure that I could fit them in once they were completed. It will be a slow go to make sure that they don't topple over. It should be a fun day. My cousin is getting married at the same church that Mr. D and I got married at almost 7 years ago. I haven't been back since (it was my childhood church) and it will be nice to hear the organ pay the same wedding march that was played for me. It was gloriously loud and beautiful. My garden is booming. We had cucumber and cauliflower with tomato lunch yesterday. My beets are about done and the corn has cobs that are forming!!! It has been so fun. I went out yesterday and spent some time before it got to hot. I was weeding and poking around. It is just so peaceful. Off to continue to get ready. We have to leave to get the flowers to the church before pictures get started. I also have to take Miss D to her Grandma's house to get a nap before the wedding. Uggg... what busyness. Fun Fun though! Pray for a safe and easy transport for the flowers.

Good but not that good!

Last night Mr. D and I felt like sharing a bottle of wine. We each had a glass and the rest is left in the carafe. I'm thinking that the bottle came from a friend that left it at our house. We use to meet every week on Thursday for Friends nite.. to hang out and watch that show. You can see that was a while ago.. that show isn't on anymore. Anywhoo... I grabbed it from the wine rack and we popped it open. It was... good. As Mr. D was uncorking a thought went through my head. I wonder if it is worth any money. It was a 1989 and it was just sitting on my wine rack for years. I bet that I've had it since 2000. We enjoyed it... but today I thought to humor my curiosity and google the writing on the bottle. It is in French.. so I had no idea what the name was. So I typed in all the info that I thought was important. Guess what I found out... you don't even want to know. Click below to see the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
I will be enjoying the rest tonight... perhaps with a new appreciation.

A day at the fair

Mr. D was off from work on Friday and so we decided to head out for a family day at the fair. Miss D loved the rides! She also loved the animals too! It was an overcast day with sun breaks later in the day. It was perfect weather. Miss D took a 2 hour nap in the stroller while we strolled the exibits. We had such a great family day!

Welcome Home Mr. D

We welcomed Mr. D home tonight from being gone all week. I made Meatloaf and he asked for me to make it just like his mom did. It is her recipe and I have made it so many times and each time it just isn't the same. I'm sure all you wives out there are feeling me on that one. Well tonight I got it spot on. Moist and full of flavor. I think the full of flavor was because Miss D was helping me make it and she was in charge of shaking the spices in. She didn't listen to well to the first, second and third time I said stop. So we were heavier than normal on garlic salt... perhaps that was the key. I had a special helper in the kitchen and I thought it would be fun for her to help with the mashing of the meatloaf. She dug right in and didn't mind the feel at all. We had fun cooking together. She is getting so good at being careful and listening. Mr. D also came home to as you can see in the picture me with a new hairdo! I was fed up with my long hair and called to get a hair appt. I was able to get in this morning. My mom strolled Miss D around while I was getting my hair CHOPPED. She put it in a ponytail and then cut it off. The pony tail is about 10 inches long. Locks of Love anyone! So I had the pony tail on the counter when he walked in from being gone all week. I was upstairs.. I heard him come and greet Miss D.. Then I came down the stairs... Surprise honey I butched my hair. I'm so not attached to my hair at all. I love a good change. I also love the woman that cuts my hair at Toni N Guy. I have never had a bad haircut in my life... the price I paid I cannot udder aloud. I have done a few floral jobs in the last few weeks so that in my head justified the expense. And also because I haven't had a hair cut since February. So long to my long hair... hello to fun and short new do!

My little Miss D has been coming out of her room in the middle of the night and climbing into bed with me... not cool!

We decided to bribe her with stickers to say in her bed all night. Three stickers and then she gets to go to the dollar tree and pick out a treat. So in 3 nights.... she had 3 stickers... it worked! After church on we headed to the store so that she could pick out whatever she wanted to buy. I asked her on the way what she was going to get... she said "fruit snacks". Ok whatever.. I did tell her that she could get whatever she wanted. I don't buy her fruit snacks so here was her chance to get some! She had said that she wanted purple fruit snacks. I wondered if the dollar tree would even have fruit snack let along purple ones. My little prophetic girl... I knew that she had never seen fruit snacks in the dollar tree before. We have only been there a few times. After a few times up and down the aisles I came across the fruit snacks. They were on the top shelf of the aisle and there were only one kind. Guess what color the box was... PURPLE. Crazy huh.. I think my little girl may have a gifting. This is not the 1st time that she has surprised me with something like this. But that is a whole different post...
We opened the box and there was 4 packets... so 3 more stickers and she gets to have another packet. What has happened the last 2 nights... climbing back in bed with me! I need to crack down tonight! Mr. D is out of town for work and I do have to admit that I like to snuggle with my little Miss D! Not tonight though! I'm cracking down... I'm not backslidding!

Eighth post
back to Oct 2006 for this one... here it is So True.

WHY GO TO CHURCH? A Church-goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So I think I'm wasting time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all." This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: "I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals, but for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this: They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!" When you are DOWN to nothing .... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! REMEMBER: FAITH MAKES THINGS POSSIBLE...NOT EASY ! Author- Unknown For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." Romans 1:16-17
