This girl can put away the oatmeal... she will eat all of this and sometimes want more.

Such a lovely face to wake up to. She always needs a few extra minutes with niney in the am.

This was on Saturday... perhaps the last "nice" day we will have in November. Pickin' flowers with her friends from next door.

Miss D and her friend Todd from next door... when she sees him... she says "pat Todd, See him."

Found It

Anyone notice the pictures have been lacking lately? Well, I "thought" I had lost the battery charger for my camera. I had looked everywhere for it. I have been losing things lately. I think I keep finding these "awesome"spots to store things and then when I go to look for them again... I can't remember where I put them (ie. toilet brush, old pillows). I was at the grocery store on Wed after BSF and I saw a charger on the battery display for $10.00. I didn't think that was to bad... I threw it in the cart and went to grab the AA batteries to go with it. They were all out. So I put the charger back and told myself I would look one more time for my charger at home. Either it was there or I had left it at the beach cabin and it was lost forever.
Thursday I was taking out a carseat out of my car and set it down to pick up Miss D and while I was bent down I saw the charger... under the passenger seat of my car! Whoo hoo!
Now I just have to charge up the dead batteries that are in my camera now and get back to picture taking... tune in for some updated pics.

2 races left

So love me or not... I like NASCAR. I got a call tonight from one of my girlies and she said that she was learning a bit about NASCAR from watching the movie "CARS".... not a bad way to learn. I use to think that it was so dumb... a bunch of cars driving around in a circle. BORING! Let me tell you... that is so not the case. Here are a few tidbits of info about this fun sport.

#1- pit strategy... when during the race to pit... getting 2 tires vs. all 4 tires replaced? Questions that the pit crew boss has to answer.

#2- short track vs long track... I'm a fan of the short track races... more chance of a good wreck.

#3- great wrecks... (these NASCAR cars have such high safety regulations that the chance of getting hurt seems to be pretty low) not that I would wish a wreck on any of the drivers... especially my favs.

#4- pole position ( in the practice the day before the race each driver as the chance to run a few laps on the track that they will be racing on the next day. they are trying to get the best time and that leads to starting out in 1st place and getting the 1st pit spot.)

#5- the drivers... some are so down to earth and just love to race... (i speak as i even know any of them)

#6- Mr. D and I watch the race on Sunday pm after church. Miss D takes her nap and she wakes up in time to catch the end of the race.

#7- Perfect time to catch an afternoon nap.. after the race gets started and is close to about 1/2 over a snooze is just perfect... then you wake up in time to catch the last bit of the race.
Our favs...

Hmmmm, not so good.

Mr. D is downstairs playing Playstation 2 right now. I had to step away, I started to not feel to well. I get motion sickness from watching him play those games. I like to play... but figuring out the two joysticks in addition to the 6 buttons to push is hard to do. We brought it out the the depths tonight. I cleaned out the closet of the playroom today and decided to plug it in. We have a poker game too... now that I can play. No zooming and camera angle changes to put up with. I'm starting to feel better now. It is such a yucky feeling. I just feel WEIRD. I start to think that food will make me feel better... I had two pieces of plain toast with butter and went away from the tv. I think that I got off the motioning boat ride. Yes, I'm feeling better.

?'s answered

In the precious name of Jesus I rest knowing that he is the sovereign God and that he wishes not one perish. For he loves all of mankind. He came to earth and suffered the same trials we suffer. He has been in our shoes and was sinless. He died for us and took the sins of the world upon his blameless shoulders. All I can do is worship him and continue to live my life for him. I hope for the future for all the non-believers that they don't wait until it is to late and they are left behind.

BSF Lesson today

The First day of my BSF lesson.
Matt 7: 1-5
Do Not Judge
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

What other words can be used for judging?
I came up with measure and comparison. One of the questions touched a bit on Galatians 1:8 and 2 John 8-11.
8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
8 Look to yourselves, that we[b] do not lose those things we worked for, but that we[c] may receive a full reward. 9 Whoever transgresses[d] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

This passage is explained to me in the BSF lecture and here is what I got out of it...
We need to have spiritual discernment to determine our word and our actions towards non-believers. The only way we can attain that is through prayer.

Then the teaching leader touched a bit on world teaching vs. biblical teaching. The world seeks for tolerance and we need to measure everything against the bible. How do you know if it is truth teaching? Does it agree with the bible?

Lastly in my notes I wrote a bit about the end of Matt 7. Jesus is teaching about building your house on a solid foundation... not the shifting foundation of sand. I was able to attest to this with the death of my second born. I was able to rest in Jesus and know that God is good all the time. I was able to turn to the only thing left that I had to grasp to and that was the bible and the truth in those pages. I had nothing else. In my time of need...God met me and has been much more of a reality ever since then.

Ode to the fuzzy feller

Miss D has been crying before bedtime last night and today before naptime. I was confused. Why all the sudden out of the blue... this behavior. Tonight I was told maybe why? TWO YEAR OLD MOLARS! Now I can see that her behavior matchs right up with her normal teething times. Needing momma at sleepy time and unable to relax and sleep well. Tonight she was given medicine about an hour before bed... and low and behold no fits before bed. Just peaceful snuggles and stories and songs.

Also... on my way home tonight I hit a bunny!

Little bunny foo foo
I didn't see you
running under my tire
wasn't so good.

Now you are road kill
I'm really sorry
You made a bad choice of
going out at night.

The fog was so thick
you didn't give a lick
what were you after
that looked so good?

Now it doesn't matter
because you are a splatter
in the middle of the road
GROSS GROSS GROSS!

Early Riser

This year Miss D has not adjusted to daylight savings time very well. She was up today at 6am! Not Cool! She is down for her morning nap right now. I guess over the course of the next few days she will get use to it. Getting up that early has always seemed wrong to me... but to be honest I'm starting to kinda like it. If I get to bed at a decent time, I'm not tired when I wake up...getting up that early isn't hard. Miss D goes down for her morning nappy around 9:30am or 10 am and she is up for lunchtime around noon. Getting up that early and starting my day makes for a very productive day. This morning I fed her breakfast... which was two huge bowls of brown sugar and milk oatmeal (which she calls "meal") and while she was eating I made my vanilla, ice and banana protein shake. Then I loaded the dishwasher from the night before. I copied some recipes onto index cards and put away our suitcase clothes from the weekend along with a 2 loads of laundry. I cleaned out the shower and got us dressed and ready for the day. Shared 2 kiwis with Miss D while she watched Little Einsteins....then she was ready for her nap... and here I am. Hmmm what should I do while she is asleep?
I should finish my BSF study from this week. I need to devote the 1st time of my day to reading my Bible and starting my day out with God first. A few weeks ago we talked about that in my BSF group. Many ladies shared their routine. I want Miss D to grow up seeing me be dedicated to the things that are most important in life. I want her to see that I have my priorities set right so that she will grow up doing the same thing. The last few morning she has been up early and I've felt the Holy Spririt nudging me to stop what I'm doing and give my first time of the day to God. The BSF lecture leader gave a few ideas on how to do that. She suggested to go through the Psalms and Proverbs and match the number with the day of the month. Their are 91 Psalms so I would go through the whole book in 3 months. Their are 31 Proverbs so I would go through the book of Proverbs in one month. I think I will start. Enough of this finding other things to do... there are always going to be other things to do... Jesus could come back at any moment and I want my heart and mind to be meditating on God's word all day. What better time to fill my head with His word than the morning.

Psalm 143:8

8 Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,

I am trusting you. Show me where to walk,
I give myself to you.

Crabbin' Cabin Fun

Our weekend away at the Crabbin' Cabin was fun. It was a wonderful view from the deck of the bay and the ocean. It was a 6 room, 3 story cabin and it had so much room for all 3 couples and 7 kids to run around and play. The guys caught us 3 dungeonus crab and then alot of the native crab to. I had a good time learning how to de-meat a crab. We had enough meat for me to make about 8 crab cakes and then all take home a bag of crab meat and 2 crabs each. The crab cakes were our late night snack because it took so long for them to get the meat out. Fresh crab meat tastes like lobster... i think. My crab cakes were so yummy! I googled "crab cakes" and got the recipe off a link. This is the one that I made. They had a bit of bite to them and they were just as good the next day. I would use a bit less Worcestershire sauce... because it was a bit overpowering.

INGREDIENTS:
2 6-1/2 oz. cans back fin lump crab meat or 3/4 lb. fresh crab (about 2-1/2 cups)
2 tbsp. reduced-fat mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Several drops hot pepper sauce
4 green onions, chopped
2 Tbsps. dry mustard
Salt and freshly ground pepper, or to taste
2 egg whites
1 cup cracker crumbs
Olive oil spray
PREPARATION:
Drain crab meat and flake with a fork, picking out any shell or cartilage. Put crab meat in a bowl. Add the mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper, green onions, dry mustard, pepper and salt. Blend in the egg whites. Shape into 4 cakes about 4 inches across. Place cracker crumbs on a plate and season with salt and pepper. Roll crab cakes in crumbs, making sure both sides are coated. Heat a nonstick skillet on medium heat. Spray with olive oil spray. Add crab cakes and cook 5 minutes. Turn and cook 5 more minutes. Shared by Coweyes Brown.

We went to see how the local chesse factory made their cheese. We got to sample some special flavors and bought some small bricks of cheese to take home. Then we had lunch there at the cafe. We shared some grilled cheese sandwichs... YUM. They were drippy with cheese and made on sourdough bread. Miss D was loving it. She loves herself a "cheese sammich".

She is also smiling for the camera now. It is nice because I can ask her to smile and she "usually" will do it. This is of her sitting at the table and eating with the "boys doin" at the table. She was always wondering the whole weekend what the boys were doing. So she kept saying "boys doin". It was so cute to see her wondering what she was missing out on having to stay with the mommies and babies.

Much fun was had by all!

See Ya Sunday

Crabbin' Cabin here we come!

Chew Chew Chew

In the past few weeks my little Miss D has had an teeny weeny appetite . After trying to get her to eat... she will say yes.... no...hungreen. We figured out the problem. She wasn't' chewing her food. She ate a pickle the other day and then she threw it up and there wasn't any chewing marks on it. She was swallowing the pieces whole! That is enough to upset a stomach! So now that I watch her eat very closely I can see that she barely chews her food. Well, that has to stop! So we are not watching her eat and making sure that she is chewing. Her appetite is improving. I think that she was nervous about eating because of the reaction that she was having after she ate a big meal. PUKE! So now I say to her "chew chew chew" and "i want to hear it". She puts her little mouth while she is chewing mouth up to my ear so I can "hear it". Good thing she had a little chunck to spare. She looks like a toddler now... no more tummy or chubby cheeks. Last night she had a big plate of meat loaf and this morning she had a big bowl of oatmeal and followed it up with a whole large navel orange at snack-time. She just asked me for a nap. So I went and put her in her bed. Is it weird that she asks me to go to bed? That just isn't something that a 20 month old little person does, is it? Maybe she is growing? Maybe she just requires a lot of sleep? Her whole little life she has slept a lot. But when I think about me and Mr D we sure love to sleep to.
She talks so well. She is speaking in 3-4 word sentances. This mornign she was laying in bed with us. I told her that "it was to dark to wake up" So she was talking to her self. "Matthew" over and over about 100 times. She also had her blanket over her face and was making a noise like blowing out a candle. Silly little girl. We were lame and didn't do anything for Halloween. I'm still on the fence about dressing up and trick-or-treat. I'm not to into identifying myself to evil spirits and saying "hey look at me"or "want to come and hang out". I'm sure some of you will think that is weird... but if you look at an old post of mine... you may agree.
yes, i'm not wearing mascara in this picture..i'm sure you are wondering why i look weird. god blessed me with blonde eyelashes OK.

Work Work Work

Taking Estrace after dinner is ok... but being up late after my dinner has digested isn't ok. It really makes me feel the same as the early stages of nausea during pregnancy. I want to go have a snack, but I know there is no baby in there that I would be starving. It is just my empty tummy needing a snack. Just go chug some milk is what Mr. D would say if he was awake. He worked himself a 14 hour day today. Man he is a hard worker. I really don't envy the guy. I can't even imagine how many calories he burns in a day. It must be a couple thousand at least. No wonder he can't keep weight on. I have an "idea" of what he eats everyday( not counting any non-scheduled gas station stops for a bbq burrito snack). I make his lunch and I know what goes in there. Healthy food... with the exception of the chips and cookies... and the occasional pop tart. Then, I know that he eats for dinner... which is always SO much food. What a life to have... where I would be eating just to keep my weight up. That is so not the case for my life. I chase around an almost 2 year old who recently has been my little cling on. So the chasing has been to a minimum. She would rather sit on the floor and play "sorting the treasure and putting it into the treasure box and then into some cups" or "taking all of the fruit leather out of the lunch drawer a few at a time and taking it into the dining room and putting it on the table". I ask her if she is "doing her work" and she always says "yes". She is so interesting. In a group setting she will hang close to me (if not up on my lap) for a while until she has surveyed the situation and decided that all is clear to get down. Sometimes it will be like 15 minutes. Then she will hang back to kinda get her bearings, to see what everyone else is doing... then she will maybe play or maybe be back on my lap for a little more time to check it out again. Ohhhh how the little quirks of our personalities make us who we are. I'm learning about my little tot's quirks everyday.

Selah brings me peace

IN MY LIFE
(John Lennon, Paul McCartney)

There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever and not for better
Some are gone and some remain

All these places have their moments
With people and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
But in my life, I loved them all

But of all these friends and loved ones
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and friends that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
But in my life I loved you more

If We Never Meet Again
(Albert E. Brumley)

Soon we'll come to the end of life's journey
And perhaps we'll never meet anymore
Till we gather in heaven's bright city
Far away on that beautiful shore

If we never meet again this side of heaven
As we struggle through this world and its strife
There's another meeting place somewhere in heaven
By the beautiful river of life

Where the charming roses bloom forever
And separations come no more
If we never meet again this side of heaven
I will meet you on that beautiful shore

These two songs are sung one right after the other in a song off of the Selah cd "Press On".

I used to listen to this cd over and over again. I would sing the 1st song off the cd to Miss D when she was a baby. I hadn't listened to the cd for a about a year and then I decided to put it in the cd player. Well... the songs that I listed above meant something totally different to me. A wave of emotion came over me when this song number 3 came on and I pushed through the song knowing that as I listened healing would come. I can now listen to this song over and over again because it reminds me of my Hazel and of my Jesus.

See Ya Miss D.

Miss D went in the nursery at church today! Woo Hoo. Last week Mr. D was hunting and I was in and out of the service because Miss D was so not into going in the nursery. Well today she was bribed with snacks and 2 of her best buds were in there. So we made the clean break. She was fighting it with the death cling on grip. But I was strong and didn't give into the "mama" crying and wimpering. I was able to enjoy a great service of learning and enlightenment about what God desires for us and how we all have a heart of our own with God given desires. Are we living out those desires and are we aligned with God, so that we know we are living a life of truth? Deep stuff. Have I mentioned before how I love the Bible. Always something new to learn. Others refer to needing outside commentary in conjunction with the Bible. They refer to the phrase as "continued revelation". The Bible always gives that to me (continued revelation)every time I read it. Where I am in my day and in my life... a verse will mean something different to me than to someone else... depending on everyone' s life circumstances. I know that when I read the bible I take it as the complete truth...not needing any other outside sources to back it up. I have faith that it is God- breathed and alive. I'm so thankful to be able to rest in that truth and always know that I can take God at his word because he is never changing and always true.

Surgery went well.
I'm home and resting.
I got pictures from the surgery..... maybe TMI?
I'm doing well... if you call and I don't answer that means that Miss D is sleeping and so am I.
Leave a message and I will call you back when I wake up.
I'm not taking my pain meds... because Ibuprofen is working for me!

What I never knew

I learned a new thing yesterday. I learned it while watching Charlotte's Web. (the old version)

I learned how spiders get from here to there. All my life I never could figure out how spiders could string their web across such long distances. Like from one tree to another. I thought that they would walk down the tree and over to to the next tree and up to where they could get across... I don' t know. It was to hard for me to wrap my brain around. You know when you walk through a string of web and there is no spider in site. Well at the end of Charlotte's Web all her baby spiders are born and they all go up to the fence post and stick their little spider booty up in the air and catch a ride through the air by their web catching the wind. It was one of those A-ha moments that is followed by the thought... why didn't I ever figure that out?

Killing Power.

The hubby sent me an email yesterday... is there something wrong with that picture? We do talk, but he was at his desk and I at my desk at home...anyways...

He emailed me with the note... "weed"

Then inside the email he said "now that I got your attention"... hahahaha very funny. Funny how my brain would go that route and he would know that. Well what he was really wanting was for me to spray weeds around the yard. That has been my duty this summer. It is easy and I just fill the backpack up with weed killer and water and I'm on my way. I'm getting better at the job. The first few times I missed a tone of weeds. I'm not a very methodical person, so organizing my spray was a hard task to master. Last time weed amd grass killing spray got all allong the ege of the grass and I killed it DEAD! But this time... I was extra careful. I just know one of these times there is going to be dead footprints going across the lawn because I walked through a fresh spray and tracked it into the grass. After I'm done spraying I look around at all I sprayed and hope that it all dies. What if I got the mix wrong and all my spraying work was in vain? It will take about 2 weeks with the weather now for the weeds to die. But, when I start to see wilting and yellow my heart does a leap. Such simple pleasure.... life in the country. I get happy over a dead weed.

you can find just about anything on google... the picture really adds to the dramatic effect right.

What I know for sure.

What I know for sure.
Shannon tagged me and these are 5 things I know for sure.
1. The group Selah and their music speaks to my soul.
2. I got a sore throat and Miss D started having random puking when I started to stir the pot regarding a certain religion, I deleted my posts and commanded the blood of Jesus to cover me and Miss D and In the name of Jesus the Devil leave us alone and in the Name of Jesus my sore throat would go away. Instantly my throat was better and Miss D hasn't puked again. In the name of Jesus I commanded the demons to leave my throat.
3. My daughter is so cute (to me) that sometime it actually hurts my heart.
4. I love where I live and when I wake up (like today) and can see above the fog, changing leaves, two mountains, the sun and rolling light blue hills I can feel the awesome of God's creation and I hope that I never have to move away.
5. I miss my Hazel Hope with all my heart and I can rest in the fact that I know when I get to Heaven with Jesus we will have a wonderful time singing praises together!

.....now what do these three wonderful ladies know for sure?
How bout' Kelli and Lindsay( new to the blogging world) and Steph

It was brown and now it's down.

After a four year dry spell... Mr. D finally shot a deer. Last time this happened the weather was warm and the deer was going to spoil from hanging so they cut it up and put garbage bags of deer meat in my fridge. YUCKY. And what is the weather going to do this week I hear... warm!

I won't post a picture because mr. deer is missing his fur and his insides. We are skipping the butcher this time because last time I'm not sure that we got the same meat back. So... Mr. D is going to borrow a friends meat grinder and go to town with it himself. I'm so happy for my hubby because I just know that he is going to be in such a great mood. Year after year of never killing anything can really bring a guy down. So... now that there has been a deer shot and some antlers to keep and some meat to put in the freezer Mr. D should have his killing tank all filled up. I'm thankful that he came home safely after 4 days in the woods and that he was able to fill his tag this year.

another find.

I'm doing my BSF for this week... just came across this verse.
Matt 18:19 Jesus speaking...
I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.
Ponder that verse for a while.

Hubby Hunting... Girls nite out!

I had dinner and drinks with one of my bestest new friends last night. Church and Arbonne brought our lived together. We did pizza (frozen kind)... our hubbies are out hunting and some girls needed a break from cooking! Well, the kiddos were loving the pizza and we had a few slices ourselves. Then I made us some delicious Mint Mohitos (thanks to my bro for the recipe). I was on the apple peeler-corer-slicer and she was on washing duty. The kids were eating peacefully at the table (ya right) and we were beginning to make some Apple Cranberry Butter. Well I left before the process got really going. I just helped the apples get themselves peeled and put into the simmering cranberry juice. It was smelling so good. We were sitting on the carpet while the kiddos were "attempting" to watch Tomas The Train. Baby needed her bed... Miss D was tired too. She was asking me what to do about a few pictures on her wall and if she should move them around. I have to say that I'm a fan of using what you have and just mixing it up a little. So... we brainstormed some possibilities.
Way to soon the night had winded down and I needed to head home to get a girl to bed. After she was down for the night, I looked around the house and thought that I should do the same thing. So... until about midnight I was in reorganizing mode. Just ask my neighbor... I go into these weird moods and do crazy things when Mr. D is gone hunting. I buzz around the house with a new awareness of possible clutter and decorating gone bad. Things get put away and put other places. Stuff gets thrown out or reused in another place. It was a good time and I think that I may have burned off a few of the calories that I ate from the pizza at dinner time. I went to be hungry which is a good thing because that means that my body had digested the food from dinner and I was going to be accessing stored fat for energy as I sleep.

Welcome Carlie baby.

Welcome to Carlie Tahlia.
Born yesterday at 6:45pm.
Weighing in at 5 pounds 13 ounces.
18 1/2 inches long.
No pictures yet... I will leave that up to the professionals.

She is such a cute little button. She looks different than her sister. She looks alot like her daddy... with his nose and tiny little nostrils. Miss D gave her lots of gentle pats and sat with me as we held her. I was hearing the devil whispering in my ear as I walked into the hospital.
"You won't be able to hold her",
" You will be overwhelmed at how little she is and she will remind you of how little Hazel was."
Well I will tell you what was running through my head...
I can do all things through Christ who strengths me. Phil 4:13
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.2 Corinthians 12:9
As I was looking up the verses to link on this post I can across this passage of Daniel 10.
v. 18 Again the one who looked like a man touched me and gave me strength. 19 "Do not be afraid, O man highly esteemed," he said. "Peace! Be strong now; be strong." When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, "Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength."
I just love the Bible. Every time I read it is new to me. The Word is alive and speaks to me every time I read it. This passage in Daniel 10 was such a find.

Pumpkins and Puke

We went and got our Pumpkins yesterday... 1st trip to the patch as a family. We went with some good friends and had a fun time. We saw the farm animals... Miss D was loving the Chickens. She was not loving the Goats. I think that she was confused that they actually exsisted in real life... not just in books. We did the punkin chunckin with the tiny pumpkins that were there for the taking. Our friend made into the barrell on the first shot. He won a prize! So worth the $8 entrance/person. No... that was so not worth it. But we did get a ride on the hay wagon out to the patch. We all found "THE PERFECT PUMPKINS" for our family. Miss D was without her pm nap. Which is how the day usually goes on Sunday. But lately she hasn't been eating to well. I think the last time she really ate a good amount of food was on Wednesday night. Since then she has been eating like a little bird. Frustrating for me... since I'm the mom and I try to get her to eat! Well last night at the patch she was having some sips of my Hot Chocolate and she was loving it. We decided to head over to their house for some dinner. A quick stop at the store to get some bread and we would be on our way. Well, about 5 minutes after leaving the patch Miss D decided to unload her lunch and hot chocolate all over herself. Her blacket caught most of it. There was a little splatter on the back of the seat in front of her. I jumped out of my seat into the back seat to make sure there wasn't going to be round 2. We made it to the store and got her all cleaned up. The car stunk and so did she. She was so crushed that she had messed her "niney" and she had to ride all the way home without it. Wining and crying the whole way. So we made it home and got her up to the bath. Took off the diaper while the tub was filling and she decided to unload her bladder right there on the bathmat. We were like seriouly girl... you got problems. Well once in the bath we were just waiting for her to unload the other end in the tub. That would have just completed the evening. But so such luck. She made it to bed and slept all night. I did go in at about 4am because she had fallen out of bed. I don't know what is going on with our girl. Right now... she is saying "cheese samich" so I guess I should go and make her one. I hope that she eats it! These pics sum up her attitude at the festivities

Specific Prayer

The surgery is scheduled. I need specific prayer for...
```````````````````````````````````````````````
~Complete Resection of Uterine Septum.
(they could not get it all in the 1st surgery which would require another follow-up surgery)...not cool!
~No internal Uterine damage and no perforation of Uterine cavity.
(They could puncture the Uterine wall and damage the organs outside the Uterus)....not cool!
~Normal healing of Uterine Cavity
(My Uterus could collapse and fuse together while healing)... again not cool!
Thank you in advance for all the prayers. I know that I am in the tender care of my loving Father and I know that Job 12:10 says...
In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.
Back to the Doc
I have a pre-op appointment tomorrow. I'm hoping to find out what my surgery is going to entail and what the after care is going to look like?
How long will I be down?
Will I be in pain?
Will I be able to lift Miss D?
Will I be able to walk around without to much pain?
Will everything heal well?
Will I have nausea coming out of the anesthetic?
Will I be on pain meds?
Do I have to go back in for a follow-up appt?
Will I be able to drive after?
Do I need to have someone here with me to help me take care of Miss D?
How long will be my recovery?
Just a few questions.
Please pray for clarity tomorrow as I am at the Doctor finding out what my soon to be surgery is going to shape up to be...
other than expensive.
Musings of Today
I have started counting calories again. I had stopped that...because I pretty much had memorized what everything is calorie wise. I was eating about 1400, after keeping track for a few days. Well not cool when I'm trying to drop the poundage. So... back to writing it down. Except that we went to ROCC for dinner tonight and that didn't work in my favor. The cheesecake was literally calling my name... EAT ME! So I had tooo.... you know I didn't want to make it feel bad. Wait, it's cheesecake it should feel bad. It is like a million calories. I did however do my Windsor Ab Sculpting video today while the tot was napping. So that basically cancelled the cake out right.
After BSF on Wednesdays Miss D comes home saying "nappy". Poor girl just wants her bed!
I started another blog to post Hazel related stuff on. I have one contributor. Not what I had hoped for. I will give it time. I'm hoping it catches on. I think that it could be a really great forum for women to share loss experiences together on. We will see I guess.
I'm loving my new car. It rides so smooth. It is fun to drive and very spacious.
Last night I was startled awake to Miss D standing at the side of my bed saying "mama."
I was scared out of my head! What the Bride of Chucky.
I didn't even hear her open her door... it is hard to open, so she rarely even is able to open it on her own. Either I was so out of it sleeping or she was in stealth mode when she opened it. We don't put up the gate anymore because she can't open her door, and she never comes out of her room in the middle of the night. It was so weird. So I scooped her up and took her back to bed, as my heart was racing from the sudden wake up. I laid with her for a few. I could tell that she was annoyed that I was in her bed. I could tell that I was cramping her space. So I took a hint and went back to bed. Not another peep out of her all night. I'm hoping I don't have to wake up to another Chucky at the side of my bed tonight. SCARY.... even if it was my own child.
...I had a pic here of my little squirt... but it kept haunting me. So... forget the image. SORRY! Not sure what I was thinking???
Pics don't lie!
July 21, 2007
------------------------------------------------
It is easy to see how the weight loss program is going when I get on the scale. STUCK! I have hit the plateau at 20 pounds. I want to lose 15 more! I have fell off the workout wagon! I have stayed on the 1200 calorie wagon...you know give a little here and there. Well, I say that has got to stop if I want to lose the last 15! All my pre-prego clothes fit now... but they could be just a little more comfortable. HELP! Give me encouragement! I'm going to treadmill it today. I always feel so good when I get off. I love to see the results of the number of calories I burned. Pictures don't lie! I can do it and I'm back on the workout wagon as of today! Hold me to it!
Overkill?
I'm in the middle of copying and pasting each blog entry from this entire blog to Word docs then saving them into 2006 and 2007 folders. It is taking forever. I'm almost to September of 2007... then each time I do a new entry I'm going to save it to a Word doc and then save it to the Blog file. Overkill? Maybe, but I'll be glad after I print all of them out and put them in a binder to save and read when ever I want to!
New Life Lessons
New lessons from Matthew 2: 1-11
Magi... you may think of the 3 wisemen from the birth of Jesus right. Well, I have learned some new things about them that I didn't know before...
Magi/Wisemen/Astrologers/
Truthseekers/Scholars
These men were from the Persian area of the world and were known to follow the trail of knowledge. They had heard of the OT and new that there was a king to be born and a star in the sky when the birth took place. God may have been speaking to them in a way that they could understand. They were astrologers. When the star appeared they decided to follow it. They knew the sign.
Do we always see the signs that God is using in trying to get our attention?
Do we miss them because we are to busy in life to take the time to stop and look around?
We have to follow after God as He reveals Himself to us and chose to do it daily.
Why didn't the scribes and chiefs in the passage choose to follow the star also? They new the OT prophecy very well. They decided to stay and not go see the birth the the King. They had the knowledge of the OT and they knew that He was the newborn King... yet they chose to stay behind.
Deut 2:29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. 31 For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.
Am I filling my head with the knowlege of the Bible and not doing anything about it like the scribes and the priests of the OT?
God sees through the self-protection and God wants to break through!
Did you notice in the the passage link at the top of this page that it doesn't say anything about there being "3" wisemen. Interesting...how over the course of time the Bible is taken out of context. Parts and peices are used to further on doctrines and cults. The whole Bible is the solid truth. It is the Living Word and each new time I read it... I learn something new.
"We three kings of Orient are..."
Deut 4:1-2 Hear now, O Israel, the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. 2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.
Matt 2:11
They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Gold- Will I offer everything I have been blessed with back to God?
Frankincence- The fragrant aroma of our praises fills the Heavens.
Myrrh- Will I take up my cross and serve him?
Is my heart desire true? God knows and there is no hiding from the truth.
o hair o hair were have you gone?
So my hair is falling out.
I went to the Doctor yesterday because it had got to the point where I was a bit worried. I took a sample of what I had lost since Monday and the doctor looked concerned. She told me... according to her I have alot of reasons that my hair could start falling out.
- Delivery of a child less than 6 months ago
- Post Tramatic Stress
- MRI
- Dye Test
- Stress over the upcoming surgery
- Started a new perscription
- Stopped taking my Pre-natel vitamins
- Hormone fluxuation
I have all of these... and a 20 month old toddler~
No wonder my hair is falling out. I guess I can be glad that I didn't have it highlighted recently. That would be depressing as each pricey piece falls out! I did just get a hair cut... I'm going to look just wonderful as my new hair grows out amoungst my long hair. After I had Miss D. my hair fell out very soon after delivery... not 4 months later! O well... purge hair mode isn't that bad I guess. Healthy new hair... sure it is great, but come to my house and see all the hair on the floor and in the shower drain. YUCK!
What the new car?
We got a postcard in the mail over the weekend saying that the dealership that we got our car from was offering a up to 85% buy back program. So I went in for an oil change yesterday and Mr. D met me there... such a surprise. I never get to see him during the day, let alone as a surprise! It was so coo. So we wandered around the car lot wondering how much they would give us as a trade. They were running low on 2005 CR-V's and were looking to make us a deal. So we looked at the Honda Pilots... nice but pricey. We looked at the Honda Vans... much to Mr.D's horror. He says he is to young to drive a van. So moving on... we looked at the Jeep Commander. Great price, quick call to check insurance (45$/year cheaper) and optional fold-down third row seating. We wander inside and sit down at the table. Keep in mind Miss D was with us. We are under the time crunch gun... she is without her afternoon nap. She is holding up quite well for 3pm. Nagotiations begin. They tell us what they will give to us if they "buyback" our car. It is in great condition, but over the allotted mileage they would like it to have. Ok... to low for us. We walk. They say... let me see what I can do. They dissapear. I will save you all the details. If you have bought a car from a dealership you know exactly what I'm talking about. So we agree on a buyback price for the CR-V and a price for the Jeep. Work out the details and we were able to get into a new car and lower our monthly payment. Great! Ours is dark grey!
Yah Hoo for Jim and Pam.
I was a little worried they were going to not be together.
Pam looked so good with her hair down.. what a cute couple.
Awesome for Dwight and Angela... farm folks do what city folks can't. Put animals in pain out of their misery. I think I know some people like that... Brownie...garbage can style. Mr. D hates cats so her was thinking the fact that Sprinkes getting put out of her misery was great. French Fry bags clawed to shreds... good one. Poor little kitty woke up from her antihistamine sleep.
If you don't watch his show... you should start! It is SO funny.
Great quote " I'm not superstitious... just some stitious." -Michael Scott
All in all... Great Premiere. Looking forward to the season.
Anyone out there know when Lost on abc premieres? I have looked on the website and didn't see it. Another one of my favorite shows. It was so hard to follow, but if you rent the past seasons and watch them one after the other (no commercials) it is easy to catch up. As Mr.D and I did for like 3 months straight. Gotta love netflix and the 1 dvd at a time. Get it-watch it-send it back. We are to cheap to pay for the 3 dvd's at a time. Which would make so much a difference because you get to have a dvd while you are waiting for another one. It is getting to be fall time again and about time to restart up our netfilx membership. Here's to fall...
Great Weekend Of Nothin'
I had the most relaxing weekend at home with my girl. Much needed after last week of being gone everyday. I really wore Miss A. out last week. She took a long nap on Saturday and on Sunday. Mr. D went out of town with his bro and kiddos. Aly and I stayed home all day Saturday, ventured out on Sunday for Church and then stayed home the rest of Sunday. What do I always do when Mr. D goes out of town you may wonder? I paint. There is something about being home alone that inspires me to paint. I have had a quart of brown paint waiting to be used up for about a year. I bought it last hunting season, when I painted the downstairs bathroom blue. I wanted to do a brown accent wall in there and I got it almost done this weekend. I need a ladder to reach to the ceiling to cut in the brown. It looks so nice and chocolatly. I caught up on my BSF study last night. I love the studies this year, so much more than last year. I think it is because so much in my life has changed over the past few months and God is so much more real to me. I have had to rely on Him completly and studing His Word makes Him so much more close to me. I have an insight into His words and it is like He is always speaking directly into my life.
I will sing of His love FOREVER!
Psalm 103
Of David. 1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-
18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the LORD, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the LORD, O my soul.
Acts 3:16
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.
Genesis 9:7
As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it."
Matthew 17:20
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Matthew 17:19-21 (in Context) Matthew 17 (Whole Chapter)
I have a Septate Uterus and it is solved by a simply surgery. I can have the surgery next month and I will heal within a few months and have a uterus that is just like anyone's normal uterus. The surgery will remove the tissue septate that seperates the interior of my uterus. My preterm labor and preterm loss of baby percentage will decrese from 50% to 5%! Can you believe it. Praise God! He has heard our prayers and answered them.
Still going!
Just an update on the 1200 calorie intake...
I've been slacking off on the working out lately.
But I have been keeping up with the low calorie intake.
I'm down 17 pounds!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
I started this end of July. Not bad for 2 months!
I fit into some jeans I haven't worn since I went to Clark...8 years ago!
I'm starting to be able to see my cheek line!
Truly Scrumptious
Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Our fine four fendered friend!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just put on a movie for Aly. She is a bit young to like this movie... but I like to have on. It was one of my favorites. I even like the name Truly... Mr. D was not to sure about that one. Maybe we will be able to use it later. I hear my results of my MRI tomorrow at 2pm. God says be anxious in nothing... so I have to trust the WORD! It is my only source of reliance. BSF started and I'm loving it. Our group is very vibrant in sharing. I'm also feeling more confident with my sharing because I feel I have grown so much in the last few months. We have fellowship next week and I'm sure that my recent life tragedy will make it into the conversation, but I know that God placed me in this group for a reason and so I can't wait to find out why..! One of my dearest life friends joined me this year in BSF and she was able to be placed in a group and not on the waiting list to get into a group. And out of all the groups she could be placed in she was put in my group. I just know that we are going to have a great year growing together! Also, I hope that we don't have any of our laugh attacks. We have been known to start and be unable to stop and we have been kicked out of a college class when we were visiting a friend at WSU! Not one of my proudest moments. But...sometimes you just can't stop!!! Here's to a great year at BSF. I hope that the Lord will grow my heart closer to him as I study the book of Matthew.

And pretty O pretty Chitty Chitty Bang
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang we Love you.
Near Chitty Far Chitty Anywhere you are
On Chitty Chitty We Depend...
Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Our Fine Four Fendered Friend,
Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,
Our Fine Four Fendered Chitty Chitty Friend!

MRI

I have a MRI today.
Please pray for a clean bill of health.
I'm ready for all my body questions to be answered.
Knowledge is good.
My faith is being tested.
I know that I'm not in control.
God holds me in His hand and I can rest and be peaceful.
He will never forsake me.

Friday tomorrow...WHAT?

I'm not quite sure where this week has gone. I know that it was a short week because we got home from Boston late Monday night... but that doesn't explain how tomorrow is already Friday. I have had 3 Arbonne presentations this week, BSF started....yay Kimmy is in my group...Childcare for the Mom's study at Church on Thursday am... Arbonne in the evening. Tomorrow, home in the morning and then Arbonne in the afternoon at my Aunts house! Then it is Mr. D's birthday on Saturday. You might think that I have something great planned by looking at the totally inspiring blog of my sis-in-law Shannon.... but no, I just asked him tonight..."what do you want to do for your bday?" He said no to going out and staying in to have friends over! Hmmmmm, I will have to change his mind. A girl needs an excuse to make a gourmet meal and bake a cake doesn't she? My right eye has been hurting today. Totally random fact, I'm sure it is appreciated. It feels like my tear duct is all scratchy. I actually put some Visine in to it today. I haven't put eye drops in in how knows long. I was standing in front of the mirror holding down my lower eyelid wondering if I was going to have a problem putting this eye drop in. Remember the Friends episode when Rachel had a problem putting the eye drops in? Monica tackled her and held her down to put the eye drop in.
Well I prevailed... no freak out. It did feel better for a while and now as I sit here writing I don't think that it hurts anymore.

Cape Cod

Having a great time in Cape Cod. We head home today after a busy weekend of fun. We spent the day in Nantucket yesterday on a scooter. We powered all around the island to see as much as possible. We thumbed through a real estate binder while eating lunch and I don't think we will be moving here....! A tiny house on a tiny lot went for 1.5 mil! It is so pretty here and the beach sand is like rock salt. Also, the water is like 65'. So warm compared to the fridged Pacific Coast. Long fight home today, but we have our portable DVD player to pop in a movie. On the way back to the airport today we are going to make a stop at Plymouth Rock and try to get in a tour of the main Garden Nursery in the Cape. Off to my breakfast served here at the Inn!

Arrrgh........

Like the pirate teeth?

Got together with the D family yesterday. My nephews 5th Pirate Birthday party. Shannon did an awesome job on the decorations. She did this life-size pixelated picture of Colt in his Jack Sparrow costume. You can see it in the background of the picture above. See her link at the side for more fun design ideas.
I had to post this picture... isn't Miss D such a funny girl. She has the cutest expressions lately. .
```````````````````````````````````````
We are off this weekend to the East Coast for our Anniversary. Should be a fun time... Plymouth Rock, Boston Tea party Reinactment...
Happy 6th Anniversary to us!
Yumm-o
This was my dinner the other night. Steven commented on how gross it looked. But I thought that it was a work of art. Blackberries from my yard. Tomatoes from my grandparents yard and yellow cucumbers from my neighbors yard. A little mango peach salsa to top it off. VERY low cal and VERY yummy. It was so big that I only ate half of it.
By the way.......down 15 pounds. I caved and got on the scale. I was being pressured by all you impatient people out there.
Like you care...
Meaningless bit of info...
I bought size 5 diapers at Costco yesterday. They just looked huge. How could my little baby be in SIZE 5 DIAPERS???? After like 9 months of buying size 4, I thought she could move up to the next size. I came to this decision after numerous mornings where she had soaked through the front of her diaper and her jammy pants where all wet. She gets a cup of milk before bed... but not enough to soak through a diaper. She sleeps on her tummy and so all the wetness is in the front and hardly any in the back. It even sometimes is so wet that the little diaper crystals things are on her. Gross. So I'm hoping that size 5 will hold all the wetness so I don't run out of pj bottoms every week.
Are you feeling more complete about life after knowing this piece of information?
Weekend Fun
We stayed close to home this weekend because Mr. D was under the weather. We had family over on Sunday night. That was great fun. The little girls were so cute playing together. We shared some dinner and watched the NASCAR race. Darn Jimmy Johnson won... But Carl Edwards was close behind him. I was so hoping for a Jimmy crash so that Carl could win.... but no such luck. I guess 2nd is ok. And then my other fav Greg Biffle got like 13th... c'mon Greg pull it together. You gained like 32 spots with an awesome pit and you still got 13th. I'm still pulling for him. There are only a few races left before the chase. Maybe that was a little TMI about Nascar...but hey I'm a fan ok. Still love me!
So, I tackled Miss D's room. It needed a little girl transformation. I did some of Shannon's wall art.We took a trip to Ikea on Monday (along with the entire state). I picked up one of those hangy mesh things to hold all her "friends". She loved to put them "in there". I had the pink flower light from the nursery... I wanted to get another one at Ikea but they were out of the pink flowers.. so I got the green Ladybug. That is my bed spread and my doll house from when I was a little girl. That black mirror was in that room from before when it was our extra bedroom. I had that green piece of furniture down stairs in the entry way, but I saw it in a new light when it could be used to hold all her books. Her Auntie Kristin gave her the butterfly mobile for her 1st birthday. Now all it needs is a fun coat of paint. But that is low on the priority list. Mr. D isn't a fan of painting(since he already painted the entire house while building) so getting him to help me would be a minor miracle.Yes, I did paint the flowers in the pictures next to the black mirror. I'm not much of a painter.. but I gave it my best effort. I had made like 6 of those for her nursery and now some of them are in her bathroom. I also got those frames in the bright colors from Ikea. Man, Ikea is awesome.
We are headed to Cape Cod for our 6th anniversary next weekend. You may think... just for the weekend? We leave Friday night and get to Cape Cod at 7am. Thanks goodness for sleeping pills. We will just drug ourselves and sleep tight (i hope). Then on Monday we get home at about 4pm. Just perfect. The little tot gets to have some quality Grandparent time and we get away! We wanted to go somewhere that we have never been so Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Whale Watching, JFK Memorial, Cape Cod's only Microbrewery and Cape Cod's Central Railroad here we come. Wohoo!
